Press Release: New Car Wash Aims to Clean Up Ross Ave., One Vehicle at a Time

DALLAS – The streets of Dallas can be a dirty place, and Tommy Terrific’s Carwash sets to change that car by car with a new location opening at 5021 Ross Avenue in April.

Located on the cusp of the the growing and trendy Henderson neighborhood on the corner of Ross and Garrett, Tommy Terrific’s on Ross will target Uptown, Lakewood and Downtown residents as well as business commuters to Downtown. The car wash will offer express exterior washes, with tunnel and drying time taking approximately three minutes, and customer vacuum use.

Construction is scheduled to begin January 9, 2012 with a projected opening in mid-April.

This will be the second Tommy Terrific’s Carwash. The existing location is in North Dallas at 3541 Forest Lane, washing almost a half a million cars since its opening in 2008. And that was during a recession. Tommy Terrific’s on Ross hopes to beat those statistics with the heavy population density and expanding new retail and restaurants coming to the area.

In efforts to get connected with the new neighbors early, Tommy Terrific’s on Ross is already a proud sponsor of the Henderson Art Project, an organization that believes the community and artists mutually benefit from supporting the arts.

“Ross and the surrounding area is changing drastically,” said Tom Miller, owner of Tommy Terrific’s Carwash. “We are excited to join this growing community and bring a much needed service to the area.”

Miller, a Dallas native, has more than 25 years experience in the car wash industry. In addition to the Tommy Terrific’s Carwash brand, he also owns / operates a full-service car wash in Allen, Texas, TradeMark Car Wash.
